Dauwalter & D'haene Documentary
When two of ultra-running's most dominant forces decided to ignore conventional wisdom and race back-to-back through two of the planet's most punishing 100-milers in a single season, they created one of endurance sport's most electrifying showdowns. Watch Courtney Dauwalter and Francois D'haene push the boundaries of human recovery as they chase glory at Hardrock 100 and UTMB with barely six weeks between them—a gamble most elite runners refuse to take. Solomon TV's raw documentary captures what happens when ambition, grit, and world-class fitness collide on the mountain.

How long should one recover from an ultra? Watch Courtney Dauwalter & Francois D'haene attempt Hardrock 100 and UTMB with little recovery in between.
Top elite ultra-runners are used to choosing between two of the sport’s biggest races, Hardrock 100 and UTMB. Both events are among the most grueling and respected 100-mile endurance races. Many consider the six weeks between races insufficient for full recovery and, therefore, opt not to run both races in the same year. In 2021, Courtney Dauwalter & Francois D'haene showed up to both races with eyes on the prize, and Long Shorts from Solomon TV captured their journey.
