5 Things You'll LOVE at OCR World Championships

We can hardly wait to share the excitement with new and old friends at the 2021 Obstacle Course Racing World Championships (OCRWC) in Stratton Mountain, Vermont; September 23-26. Read the Athlete Guide for a complete breakdown of the weekend. Otherwise, check out what we're anticipating most with these 5 Things You'll Love at OCRWC.

5. OPENING CEREMONY FIREWORKS

Fireworks

Sure, we're always down for colorful comets and spark-lit skies. However, this international celebration is extra special considering where the world was just a year ago. The fireworks show is expected around 8:00 PM on Thursday (23rd).

4. ATHLETE VILLAGE

Between races, downtown Stratton becomes Athlete Village where you'll get a chance to relax with OCR enthusiasts from around the world - including the sport's most successful pros.
Don't know where to start? We recommend asking for the MudGear Maple Cinnamon Latte at Mad Coffee Roasters. Later, grab some cheesy slices from Stratton Mountain Village Pie.

3. DREAM TEAMS

OCRWC Team

Only at special events like OCRWC will you get to watch top athletes who are usually opponents come together to form once in a lifetime teams. In the past, some teams have come together last minute to win it all.

2. FRIENDS FROM ABROAD

It's truly incredible to be among thousands of athletes from 70 nations rallying together around our collective love for obstacle course racing. Take selfies with new friends from around the world

1. OBSTACLE PARADISE

When it's all said and done, it's all about the obstacles. The 15K race will deliver over 40 technical obstacles spread out all over Stratton Mountain and throughout the downtown village.

The OCRWC build crew recently shared a preview of a Force 5 obstacle called LCD.

Skull Valley will surely be another OCRWC favorite.
