Firefighter Combat Challenge

The Pacific Coast wildfires have reminded us how dangerously demanding firefighting can be. The job requires strength, endurance, and agility. So, it’s no surprise that many of the fittest firefighters are also obstacle course racers. In fact, the firefighting community has presented its own OCR of sorts for almost 30 years called the Firefighter Combat Challenge. 

The race involves multiple tasks and obstacles that replicate the real-life requirements of firefighters on the job. You don’t have to be an active firefighter to participate. So, check out the remaining Firefighter Combat Challenge events for 2020, and consider attending as a spectator or competitor.
