Hannibal Race Brings MudGear to the Middle East

If you run Obstacle Course Racing (OCR) events, then you are familiar with a starting line full of athletes in MudGear socks. Whether you are at a Savage Race, Conquer the Gauntlet, Spartan Race or a local brand, MudGear is always the most dominant sock on the start line. However, one place you don’t see them on every pair of feet is the Middle East…that is until now.

Evan Perperis and Rachel Watters at Hannibal Race, Kuwait

Hannibal Race recently had some custom MudGear socks produced in time for their first event of 2023 on January 13th in Kuwait. The custom socks were all black and featured the red Hannibal Race logo on them. I got to spend some time at the booth selling the MudGear socks at the race and was delighted to see the number of athletes asking questions, buying socks and some even putting them on right before their race.

It was cool to see a new group of athletes join the MudGear family and learn the benefits of compression (for blood flow/performance/recovery), protection (avoid rope burn on climbs), moisture control (a non-absorbent sock), comfort (they don't stretch out of shape like cotton) and style (let’s be honest…they look awesome).

While it may take a little more time to get all obstacle course racers as familiar with MudGear as they are in America, it was cool to see so many Middle Eastern athletes start to fall in love with the brand. As of now, the Hannibal MudGear socks are available only directly from the race brand. If people are looking for custom socks for their own team, race or company, check out MudGear’s options for custom socks here.
