We premiered a new video this week as an introduction to our MudGear | Made Tougher campaign, and the response has been great!
Why is this video important? Well, we hope it's a symbolic answer to questions people have been asking.
The Elephant in the Room
Let's set the scene. MudGear welcomed 2020 with great momentum and lofty goals. Then, COVID hit, and the world shut down. Some gyms and brands closed shop for good, and everyone asked, "What's going to happen to OCR?"
To be honest, this was a challenging time for MudGear too. We had to make some sacrifices, postpone big plans, and pivot our strategy. However, the one thing that never changed was our commitment to obstacle course racing as well as more recent love for trail running and rucking.
So, what did we do the second we saw a ray of light amidst all of the darkness? We doubled down by investing deeper into the sports we love. We developed new products, sponsored more races, revamped our website, and brought some of our friends together for a fun, weekend video shoot.
Help from Our Friends
Just as it was our amazing customers, friends, and family who helped us pull through the tough times, there's no way we could have created this video without the help of incredibly talented and passionate people who believe in the MudGear brand and vision. First, we snagged the freakishly talented Bobby Ross as our director. Watch out, world; this guy is going places! We also had Evan Perperis, Brenna Calvert, Conquer the Gauntlet Pro Team members, and cool friends who were willing to give up their weekend to flex their awesomeness.
The end result was something special, and it's just a sign of things to come as we continue to find new ways to equip outdoor warriors. We're MudGear, Made Tougher like the athletes we serve!
