Unlike a gym with a shower, those of us who prefer to exercise outdoors often don't have the luxury of "freshening up" before the trip home. I've used towels, blankets, and even trash bags and they either fall down, bunch up, or allow sweat and water to soak through to the seat. Not good. This is waterproof without feeling like plastic and fits my seats well. It is not bulky. I keep this in my car and it has come in handy for unplanned uses such as getting caught in the rain.
I train outside at the park daily and race almost every weekend so my front seat is constantly getting wrecked from mud and sweat. I got tired of trying to remember and clean towels every time I went out to train & race. I stumbled across this seat cover and was immediately intrigued. I used the MudGear seat shield recently when I traveled out of state for an OCR race. It was comfortable and worked perfectly to keep the seat of the rental car clean!

I'm training multiple times a day and usually drenched in sweat by the end of my trail running sessions. Before I'd use a towel and race home because eventually it would get soaked through and start to get my car seats wet. If I didn't clean that up right away it would end up making the car smell gross. This seat cover saves me that time, stress, and chore. It stays in place, absorbs moisture without bleeding through to the seat and is easy enough to keep clean. Totally worth it! P.S. Make sure to wash on cold and line dry! It'll last way longer given the fabric and technology.
