Incredible Grip And Durability

Finally, a durable grip glove

After tearing through many different gloves during outdoor training and obstacle races, we've found one that offers an excellent balance of durability and economy.

You will find the palm of these tough mud run gloves to be unlike most dipped gloves that have a thin layer of coating on the outside. These have a padded palm and front made by an injected molding of thermoplastic rubber. It is much thicker than the dipped gloves you commonly find at the hardware store, and it provides better hand protection and gripping.

The Palms Are Tough But Softer Than A Tire Rubber

There are small grooves and bumps like tread along the palm and fingers that help with grip and channel away water and muck. The grip, combined with cushioning on the palm prevents busted paws while maintaining maximum control of ropes, bars, logs, and other obstacles.

After weeks of use, you should see some wear on the finger tips if you’ve been doing enough burpees, but it is difficult to rub a hole in them. They certainly last longer than the price tag would indicate.

Comfortable, Breathable, And Drains Well

On the back of the glove, without the molding, you will see the cotton/nylon/spandex inner lining. It's comfortable, breathable, and drains well once your hands get submerged in water and mud. These gloves are completely machine washable, but you'll want to hose out the mud before you drop them in the washer.

If these are a bit tight on you, check out the video in this page that shows a guy cutting out the fingertips. Some guys prefer to leave the fingers intact for extra protection and/or warmth. Your call.

This Glove Is For Grip During Mud Runs, Not For Warmth

The ideal glove for mud runs and obstacle races is hard to find, but this one comes close, depending on conditions. It's probably not going to give you the warmth you need once the temps go below freezing. This glove is for grip during mud runs, not for warmth.

Perhaps The Best Gloves Available For Ropes, Even When Wet Or Muddy

These are also not miracle gloves that will suddenly enable you to stick to a set of monkey bars that are coated in wet mud, but most outdoor athletes will find them to be considerably better than others they've tried and much better than bare hands. They are perhaps the best gloves available for ropes, even when wet or muddy.

Bottom line, these tough mud run gloves are cheap enough to wear without worrying about ruining them in the muck, and they will take abuse and last a long time through many tough training workouts and races.

A great gift for Son-in-law

The order was delivered promptly with a personal note. Our son-in-law-law ran his firs Spartan and had trouble gripping rungs covered with mud. This will be perfect Christmas gift.

Great Product

Product held up awesome at a Spartan Super (5K) race. They gave awesome grip on the course even the climbing rope and monkey bars. They worked well even when the bars were wet! Would definitely purchase again.

Mudgear gloves on Angel's Landing

Bought the Mudgear gloves to grip the chains on Angel's Landing in Zion's National Park. They did an incredible job! No slippage, kept me from the cold of the chains and I had complete confidence in their strength. Would buy again for that purpose.

Solid so far

These gloves did great at Tough Mudder and provided some much-needed traction on the slick climbs, as well as a bit of warmth for my hands that are always cold. After a thorough washing they look good as new... hopefully they hold up for a few more!

Just what I needed!

Just a few days ago I hiked Half Dome at Yosemite National Park, and needed to attach safety lines to the cables since they just were taken down for the season. These gloves gave a big assist in helping get me up that final stretch of the ascent; at no time did I need to worry about my hands slipping, since with the gloves I had a death grip on that cable. Also, at times I came across burrs or slightly frayed parts of it, which also were not a concern since my hands were so well protected. This was a great purchase and I give MudGear and these gloves in particular my strongest recommendation!

Worth every penny

I bought these to use for my very first Tough Mudder race and they were incredible, especially when doing any rope activity. The grip from the rubber is well crafted and the gloves are breathable too which helped.

Fit like... a glove

These fit well, and definitely help protect the hands if your palms are approaching their ripping point. They seem to do pretty well on wet bars too.
