While most traditional tactical boot socks use a single yarn construction, the MudGear Ruck sock utilizes four functional fibers to execute specific performance elements where they are needed most for fit and function. The footbed and heel pocket are the most critical areas for comfort, abrasion resistance, and moisture management. We selected a high-grade merino wool and polypropylene blend that feels as good as it functions. While soft to the touch, the combo achieves incredible toughness, durability, and the added benefit of natural antimicrobial odor control. You'll be able to go ruck or hike for many miles.
Constructed with American Muscle
One of the best advantages of the MudGear Ruck Sock is the form-fitting construction of the foot arch between heel and toe areas. Compared to the best alternatives on the market, the MudGear sock has a snugger fit with more stretch. A Nylon/Spandex blend borrowed from our top-rated trail running socks keeps the Ruck Sock stable, reducing the foot movement that leads to friction and blisters. The arch design features vertical channels for moisture movement, and additional temperature and moisture control is provided by mesh ventilation features on the top of the foot.

Bought these socks based on reviews by other websites and individuals. After a grueling 12 mile ruck in under 3 hours, I was definitely not disappointed on how well my feet turned out. Highly recommend them if you are looking for socks for long distances!
Great Gear if you are a person who easily blisters.
I have used socks from a lot of manufactures over the years and no matter the reviews I have ended up with severe ankle blisters after a long hike or walk. This year I am training for the Bataan Death March in White Sands NM. I thought I would give these a try. I have been amazed after several over 10 mile training sessions I have not had one blister. The compression also helps with muscle pain and circulation. I have nothing but good things to say about these socks!
If you're into obstacle racing, rucking, or even just hiking then you know how important good foot wear is during the events. I've made made the mistake of not getting good gear and my feet paid the price. Since going to Mudgear and getting the appropriate socks I haven't had to double up or change them out in the middle of my rucks. Mudgear is an incredible company, with an amazing team, and they are known for their quality in the obstacle racing community. I'd recommend them (and have) to anyone because of the care and passion they have for every customer they have. Definitely five stars.
