these were great for the Tough Mudder I just did. It was a hot day and the gloves were hot between obstacles, but perfect in keeping hold of ropes, climbing up and down rope towers, over rough hewn boards and logs, and keeping my hands safe and relatively unharmed.

Actually, the picture above is wrong. I got the ORC Gloves with open fingers.The first pair arrived and I was enthusiastic after testing it on my garden rig. The first gloves with a grip similar to bare hands.Then I made them wet: great grip. Then I put them in mud: great grip...Unfortunatelly, my pair had a bug: one seam opened. I thought, this can't be, as Mud Gear is knowf for tough products made to last...So I wrote them a mail. I got imediate answer from a customer service agent (Elizabeth) who was extremely friendly and helpful.Without further ado, I got the new gloves and they are just fine.Highly recommended.Not only for the quality of the product.
